Elvis León Silva, a hitman known as Elvis the Dog, is in a serious condition after being stabbed inside the Santiago I prison by another inmate.
La Pintana Connection
Elvis León, 31, was arrested on August 31 and has been linked by the Southern Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office as one of the hitmen of the Los Cachorros gang. He is described as having “the profile of a soldier, because together with other criminals they are dedicated to drug trafficking, but they are also violent in the way they proceed.”
Role in the Organization
Alex Cortez, chief prosecutor of the Organized Crime and Homicide Team (ECOH), explained the role of Elvis the Dog, detailing that “He is not the leader of the organization, but rather a soldier, a gunman, who is ordered by those who lead the organization to intimidate rival gangs and the soldier who shoots and kills.”
Charges and Incidents
Perro Elvis was formalized after he was arrested for consummated murder and two others for attempted murder, in a series of shootings in La Pintana, which left six dead, in the context of clashes with rival gangs.
