National athlete Selene Durna (32), a member of the Beşiktaş athletics team, fell from the balcony of her 6th-floor apartment in Bahçeköy Yeni Mahalle Kayın Street, Sarıyer. Neighbors witnessed the incident and immediately informed the authorities.
Emergency services, including medical teams and police, were dispatched to the scene. After examination, medical teams confirmed that Selene Durna had passed away.
The crime scene investigation team inspected Selene Durna’s apartment and a parked car. Preliminary findings suggest that Durna, who worked as a fitness instructor at a private gym, took her own life by jumping from the balcony. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
