Tragedy Strikes: Young Japanese Student’s Life Cut Short in Brutal Stabbing on Way to School in China
10-Year-Old Japanese Boy Stabbed to Death on Way to School in China
A 10-year-old Japanese boy was stabbed to death on his way to school in Shenzhen, southern Guangdong Province, China, on Wednesday, September 18th. The boy was seriously injured and died on the morning of September 19, local time. A 44-year-old male suspect was arrested and taken in for questioning.
The incident occurred near the Shenzhen Japanese School, where the boy was a student. The school has tightened security measures following the incident.
Although there are no clear reports indicating whether the attackers intended to harm Japanese nationals or not, such events will make international tensions even more intense. This is because last June there was a stabbing incident in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, resulting in injuries to a Japanese mother and child. At that time, one person died, a Chinese woman who was trying to stop the attacker.
Japan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yoko Kamikawa, said that the government takes the incident involving the death of a Japanese boy very seriously. “I couldn’t help but feel very sad when I found out that the boy had died in the early hours of September 19. I express my deepest condolences,” said Ms Kamikawa, and called the actions of the villain abominable.

The Japanese government has asked for increased security for Japanese school districts across China and every effort to be made to ensure the safety of Japanese citizens. Chinese Ambassador to Japan Wu Jianghao said it was very bad and he would work to improve the safety of foreign citizens, including Japanese people in China.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Masataka Okano, called Chinese Ambassador to Japan Wu Jianghao to express serious concerns about the attack. He also asked for appropriate measures to be taken to prevent the incident from happening again.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety of Japanese citizens in China and the need for increased security measures to prevent such incidents from happening again.
