Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Three University Carolina Students in Saltillo
The Carolina University mourns the loss of three students, victims of a tragic accident that shocked Saltillo. On Friday night, a car crash occurred in the south of Saltillo, resulting in the deaths of three young men and injuring four others, two critically. The deceased are Rodrigo Márquez Molina, Emiliano Rocha Rodríguez, and Jesús Emiliano Siller Lara, all students at Carolina University.
The accident took place around 11:20 PM on Emilio Arizpe de la Maza Boulevard, near Valle Dorado neighborhood. Authorities reported that speeding and alcohol consumption were key factors. The driver of a Chevrolet Beat lost control after a curve, hitting the central divider and landing on a Kia Sportage coming from the opposite direction. The situation worsened when a Ford Windstar collided with the SUV.
The aftermath left responders and the community with distressing images. The victims’ bodies were taken to the forensic medical service, and the road was closed for five hours. This tragedy has raised awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving.
