Nicolae Ionel Ciucă’s Innovative Solution for Doubling Road Signs
Nicolae Ionel Ciucă, accompanied by CNAIR’s Cristian Pistol, visited the Craiova-Pitesti Express Road construction sites to assess the progress of the work. During the inspection, Ciucă expressed his desire to double the number of road signs along the 121-kilometer expressway.
After explaining the impossibility of increasing the distance between Craiova and Pitesti, Cristian Pistol suggested that the only way to increase the number of signs would be to move the cities further apart. Ciucă, however, was not deterred and proposed an alternative solution.
But what if we do it back and forth? We’re doubling the number of panels, right?
Cristian Pistol clarified that every road is a round trip, but Ciucă persisted, asking if adding four lanes could double the number of signs. Pistol’s patience was wearing thin, but before he could respond, the soldier on duty intervened.
