Tragic Honeymoon: Newlyweds’ Mysterious Incident in Miami Reveals Substance Risks

November 30, 2024 Catherine Williams - Chief Editor News

Dawid Leczycki and Aleksandra Leczycka, a couple from Siedlce, Poland, celebrated their wedding on August 6, 2022. After their wedding, they planned a dream honeymoon in Miami, Florida. However, just 23 days after their wedding, tragedy struck.

On August 29, 2022, the couple was found unconscious on the street in Miami. Aleksandra, aged 26, died at the scene while Dawid survived. Since then, Dawid has chosen not to speak publicly about the incident.

Local reports indicated that they were found without money or jewelry, leading police to initially believe they were victims of a violent robbery and possibly drugging. Earlier that day, Aleksandra shared photos of herself enjoying the beach and drinks, showcasing the joy of a newlywed.

The circumstances surrounding their collapse prompted immediate investigations in both the United States and Poland. Initially, authorities considered the possibility of the couple being drugged and robbed, but this theory lost traction due to insufficient evidence.

The District Attorney’s Office in Siedlce reopened the case two years later. They reviewed information from U.S. authorities and utilized extensive investigative measures. Polish prosecutors enlisted experts in forensic science and toxicology to analyze available evidence.

Tests revealed traces of psychoactive substances in both victims. The investigation concluded that the couple had consumed these substances voluntarily. Authorities indicated that this was likely the cause of Aleksandra’s death, possibly due to an overdose or a severe allergic reaction.

The official conclusion of the investigation marked the end of a complex process involving collaboration between U.S. and Polish authorities. While voluntary consumption was identified as the main cause, there remained a small chance that they could have been unknowingly drugged, although no evidence supported this claim.

This case serves as a reminder of the dangers associated with psychoactive substances, whether used recreationally or unknowingly. Despite the official closure, the events surrounding Dawid and Aleksandra’s honeymoon continue to raise questions about their choices and the circumstances that led to this tragic outcome.
