Bob Bryar, My Chemical Romance Drummer, Dies at 44
Bob Bryar, the longest-serving drummer of My Chemical Romance, has died at the age of 44. TMZ reports that he was found dead in his home in Tennessee on Tuesday. His last sighting was on November 4.
Animal Control officials responded to the scene and removed two dogs after Bryar’s body was discovered in a state of decomposition. The medical examiner is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
Bryar joined My Chemical Romance in 2004, shortly after the band’s tour with The Used. He officially replaced drummer Matt Pelissier before the band’s album “Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge” was released. However, Bryar left the band before the album’s launch.
After leaving MCR, Bryar worked in real estate. He shared his struggles with suicidal thoughts online after his departure from the band.
My Chemical Romance is set to begin touring in 2025.
