UAE Woman Recognized as Global Science Researcher
Sharjah, UAE – Jameela Al Masood, a 20-year-old UAE national, has been named one of the 2024 Global Women Leaders by the White Pages International Conclave. This prestigious recognition acknowledges her outstanding contributions to advancing scientific research in cancer genetics and biology, as well as her leadership in global public health initiatives.
Jameela’s research paper, published in the esteemed journal Microbiology Resource Announcements, has gained international recognition at a remarkably young age. This achievement is all the more notable, given that she is a graduate student under the age of 20.
Despite facing initial setbacks, including the rejection of her thesis by a reputable laboratory, Jameela persevered and continued to pursue her academic and research goals. Her determination and resilience have earned her a place among the world’s leading scientists.
In addition to her research endeavors, Jameela serves as the University College Dublin (UCD) Ambassador for the Middle East and has been recently elected to the UK Global Youth Council.
