A 30-year-old woman in Poland was imprisoned in a barn and forced into sex slavery for over 5 years, suffering severe physical and mental abuse at the hands of her captor.
According to police reports, the woman met her captor, 35-year-old Mateusz J., on a dating website in 2019. He lured her to his family farm, where he held her captive in a shed with no heating, water, or bathroom facilities. The window was blocked by a brick, preventing sunlight from entering.
During her captivity, the woman was subjected to repeated rape, physical abuse, and isolation. She was only allowed to leave the shed with a veil covering her eyes and was brutally attacked if she failed to meet her captor’s demands. Despite being hospitalized several times, she was too afraid to report her situation to medical staff.
The woman became pregnant with her captor’s child and was taken to the hospital to give birth. The baby was then given up for adoption against her will. She also underwent surgery on her rectum after a brutal attack last year.
The woman’s ordeal finally came to an end when she was taken to the hospital for treatment of a dislocated shoulder and reported her situation to the authorities. Mateusz J. was arrested and denies all charges. If found guilty, he faces up to 25 years in prison.
