Kelce Jokes Swift Will Be Furious After Podcast Mishap

Travis Kelce is jokingly bracing for a reaction from his fiancée, Taylor Swift, after accidentally breaking a chair during a recent recording of his “New Heights” podcast. The incident occurred while Kelce was laughing at a joke made by his brother and podcast co-host, Jason Kelce.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end reportedly threw his head back in laughter, causing him to lose his balance and tip backwards in his chair. A loud cracking sound followed, and Kelce immediately expressed concern about Swift’s potential reaction. “Oh s—,” Jason exclaimed, prompting Travis to respond, “F—, Taylor’s gonna kill me.”

A clip of the mishap was shared on the podcast’s social media accounts with a warning: “This week’s episode is dangerously funny.” The full episode, a preview for which included the chair-breaking moment, is set to feature a Super Bowl preview and two special guests.

This isn’t the first time Kelce has playfully predicted Swift’s displeasure. In January, he joked that Swift would be upset with him after he failed to recognize a reference to her 2025 song, “Wood,” which is rumored to be about his physique. According to a producer on the podcast, the song contains a lyric referencing “New Heights of manhood,” a phrase that appeared on new podcast merchandise.

Kelce admitted he hadn’t understood the connection, prompting a lighthearted exchange with his brother. He also previously expressed apprehension about his father, Ed Kelce, hearing the explicit lyrics of “Wood,” specifically the line about “love was the key that opened my thighs.”

Despite these moments of potential awkwardness, Kelce has consistently praised Swift’s music, calling “Wood” a “great song.” The couple’s relationship has garnered significant media attention, and their playful banter continues to entertain fans.
