Trebević Under Siege: The Hidden Cost of Urbanization in Sarajevo

How to solve the problems of landslides and the urbanization of Trebević and its disastrous consequences, the professor of the Faculty of Forestry at the UNSA, Dalibor Ballian, spoke on behalf of our television.

“What has been happening in Trebević in recent years, not only today, not only a year ago, but 15 years ago, when the urbanization of Trebević began, will eventually come to the detriment of Sarajevo. Unfortunately, during the war due to the situation of the city, part of the forest was cut down because we needed something to warm ourselves, we needed to survive the cold winters of Sarajevo. After the war, the afforestation of Trebević began, but not so intensively, people did not respond, they knew how to use that tree, but they did not respond.Ballian said.
