Tereza⁣ Zimovjanová, a 29-year-old Czech triathlete,⁢ has joined an elite british triathlon training group based⁢ at Loughborough University, setting her sights on the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. After missing the 2024 Paris Olympics, Zimovjanová ⁣sought a‌ new training‍ environment to elevate her performance.

“I knew I needed to do something new,as what I achieved in‌ Prague was ​probably my⁢ maximum,” Zimovjanová stated in an interview with Aktualne.cz, highlighting her ‌motivation for ‌seeking a new​ training environment.

Joining the British training Group

Zimovjanová’s path to ‍joining the British‍ group ⁢involved researching high-quality training ⁣opportunities in ⁢Europe.she contacted the Loughborough⁤ group ‌and visited to assess the environment. “I went there to⁢ see if it would suit us. They tested me, found ‌out what was​ in me,⁣ and we agreed.I got acquainted with the conditions and the girls I⁢ was supposed to train with,” she explained.

Her submission, ⁤submitted‍ in September, received a response in late November. While ‍not initially admitted to‌ their core 20-member group, she was ​invited to train as a guest, participating fully in the training ​program without the benefits afforded to domestic competitors.
