2024-09
Netflix’s upcoming action movie held a production report meeting on September 10th. The meeting was attended by Kim Woo-bin, Kim Sung–kyun, and director Kim Joo-hwan, who shared their experiences and stories about the film, generating high expectations for its release.
Kim Woo-bin expressed his appreciation for the profession of a dance instructor, stating, “I first learned about this profession through this movie. They are people who have always been by our side, and I thought to myself that I had never known that they were doing such difficult and wonderful work. I approached filming with a feeling of great gratitude toward them.” He also mentioned that he trained in various martial arts, including taeked, kendo, and judo, for three months before filming, practicing three to four hours a day, and gained about 8 kg to look physically fit and capable of overpowering an opponent.
Director Kim Joo-han stated, “I have known about the profession of a dance supervisor for a long time. I have met and talked with many former and current dance supervisors and probation officers, and I felt infinite gratitude for the fact that they are people who are truly dedicated to the safety of citizens.” Kim Woo-bin added, “I thought it was fun how Lee Jeong-do, a young man who only chased after fun, meets a new job, feels a sense of accomplishment and mission in his work, and changes. I wanted to convey those feelings to the viewers.” Kim Sung-kyun also shared his enthusiasm for the project, stating that he had a strong desire to work with Kim Woo-bin and that the lightheed and rhythmic action and story in the script reminded him of Director Kim Joo-han’s previous works.
The film is set to be released exclusively on Netflix on September 13th.
