Live Pig Prices in Vietnam: Latest Updates and Trends
As of September 9, live pig prices in Vietnam are experiencing an upward trend across all three regions, with prices fluctuating between 62,000 – 67,000 VND/kg.
Pig Prices in the North

A recent survey reveals that the price of live pigs in the North has been adjusted upward by VND 1,000/kg in Tuyen Quang, reaching 66,000 VND/kg, which is the same price as in Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Phu Tho, Thai Binh, and Vinh Phuc provinces. Hanoi maintains the highest price in the region at 67,000 VND/kg, while other localities have not recorded any new price fluctuations.
Pig Prices in the Central Highlands
In the Central Highlands region, the trading price of live pigs has been adjusted upward by VND 1,000/kg, with prices ranging from VND 62,000 – 65,000/kg.
Thanh Hoa, the province with the highest pork price in the region, has seen a slight increase of 1,000 VND/kg, reaching 66,000 VND/kg. Traders in other localities continue to buy live pigs at unchanged prices.
Pig Prices in the South
The southern live pig market has increased by VND 1,000/kg in some localities, with prices ranging from VND 62,000 – 64,000/kg.
Specifically, Binh Duong and Ca Mau provinces have increased by 1,000 VND/kg, maintaining the transaction price at 65,000 VND/kg, the highest in the region. Long An has also seen an increase, with the price of live pigs reaching 64,000 VND/kg, equal to the price in Ba Ria – Vung Tau, An Giang provinces, and Can Tho city.
