Projected Path
Sara is expected to move across Honduras and Belize, reaching the Yucatán Peninsula soon. By Monday, it will approach the Gulf of Mexico and bring tropical moisture to Florida by Wednesday. Most models indicate that Sara will turn northwest through Belize and parts of Mexico before entering the Gulf without retaining its tropical storm status.
Once in the Gulf, Sara will move north and then east, affecting Florida. A cold front moving through Texas will influence the storm’s path but will also hinder its development further. By the time Sara arrives in Florida, it is likely to be a remnant low with minimal impact. Rain chances will increase around Wednesday, but a significant storm is unlikely.
