The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inameh) has issued a warning through its Instagram account, stating that three new tropical waves are expected to hit Venezuela next week.
Tropical Waves No. 34 and 35 to Enter Eastern Venezuela
Tropical waves No. 34 and 35 are expected to begin their journey from the eastern Venezuelan territory. Tropical wave No. 34 is anticipated to enter the country in the next few hours from Essequibo, while wave 35 is expected to arrive around September 5.
Tropical Wave 36 to Approach Guayana Esequiba
Tropical wave 36, located at 19°W (West longitude), south of 20°N (North latitude), is leaving the coast of Africa. Its approach to Guayana Esequiba is estimated for next Sunday, September 8.
August Sees Below-Average Tropical Wave Formation
Meteorologist Luis Vargas reported that a total of eight tropical waves were formed during the month of August, a figure that represents three units below the historical average for this month.
“In total, six of these waves passed through the country, including number 27, which formed at the end of July but reached our territory on August 5.”
