The Palm Beach County Sheriff confirmed that a Secret Service agent spotted a rifle barrel protruding from the fence inside the golf course, where the suspect, Ryan Wesley Roth, was hiding.
A Secret Service agent quickly neutralized the threat by shooting Roth, who then fled the scene. Security forces were able to apprehend him, and the Secret Service confirmed that Trump was safe and unharmed.
