The Trump Burger restaurant chain in Texas is generating buzz, but not all of it is about the food. While some appreciate the all-American theme, others find the political overtones hard too swallow.
One critic described the Trump Burger logo as “a cheeky, anthropomorphic burger” sporting a golden-blonde comb-over. The restaurant’s decor, awash in red, white, and blue, makes numerous references to former President Donald Trump.
According to one reviewer, enjoying a meal at Trump Burger isn’t easy. He claimed a Trump impersonator approached him, and he half-expected the performer to launch into a rendition of “YMCA.”
The critic found the signature Trump Burger bland but lauded the “First Lady Chicken Sandwich,” noting the grilled chicken breast and American cheese. He also praised the milkshake, made with Blue Bell ice cream, for its classic appeal.

Brittany Britto Garley, a food critic, noted the owner believes Trump improved the economy during his presidency. She described the restaurant’s humor as “brutish,” aimed at Trump supporters.
Garley pointed out the menu takes political jabs. The “Biden Burger,” also known as the “Harris Burger” at the Houston location, features a small patty with old toppings and buns, priced at $50.99. A cashier reportedly said it was a joke.

Garley stated that one location felt “stiff, uncertain, and uncomfortable,” notably for her as a woman of color.
An official for Trump Burger said some reviews are not surprising, given the liberal leanings of some news outlets.
“the Houston Chronicle maintains a predominantly liberal stance, so we expected nothing less than a biased take on anything bearing the Trump name,” the Trump Burger official said.
