A leading fans’ group is warning that potential restrictions on free speech under the Trump administration could undermine the spirit of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The concerns arise as the U.S., co-hosting the tournament with Mexico and Canada, has tightened its stance on immigration and visas.
Ronan Evain, executive director of Football Supporters Europe, emphasized the importance of celebrating and expressing passion at the World cup.
