The White House announced that US President Donald Trump is suffering from a chronic condition in the veins, after days of speculation that was raised after bruises in his hand appeared in a number of pictures.
According to a White House spokeswoman, Caroline Levitte, Trump underwent a comprehensive examination that included a diagnostic vascular study, after a recent swelling in his legs.
Levitte explained that the bruises shown by the president are in line with “tissue damage caused by repeated handshake,” adding that Trump is eating aspirin as part of a protective protocol usual for cardiovascular health, which may contribute to the increased appearance of bruises.
Levitte added that the tests revealed that the president had “chronic venous insufficiency”, a common condition in the elderly, which occurs when the veins of the legs fail to restore blood efficiently to the heart, which leads to its accumulation in the lower extremities and causes them.

Trump, 79, has been proud of his good health, and has previously described himself as “the most president who has ideal health in the history of the United States.”
According to the results of the last examination, the president suffers from “chronic venous insufficiency”, a condition that occurs when the veins of the legs fail to pump blood enough to the heart, which leads to blood gathering in the lower extremities and the appearance of swelling.
The spokeswoman confirmed that no indicators were monitored on the presence of “deep venous clots” or “artery disease”, and that the results of other tests were among the normal rates.
In a medical note distributed to the journalists, the official doctor of the White House, Sean Parbila, explained that the condition that the president suffers is “benign and rumor”, especially among those who exceeded the age of seventy.
Parapella added that additional tests conducted for the president did not show any signs of heart failure, kidney defect, or other systemic injury, confirming what was stated in the White House spokeswoman.
In his memo, the doctor wrote that the general health condition of the president is “excellent”.

The lenses of the photographers had taken pictures showing a swelling in Trump’s legs during his FIFA Club World Cup final, which was held in New Jersey on July 13. He also appeared clear bruises at his hand this week during his reception of Bahraini Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at the White House.
A similar bruise appeared by Trump during his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron last February.
These photos have sparked widespread speculation on social media about the possibility of Trump with an official disease.
However, in the annual medical report issued last April, the doctor said in Pepperlla that “the president is of good physical and mental health.”
It is reported that Trump was 78 years old and seven months when he was sworn in to the start of his second term in January, to be registered as the largest American president to be installed in office at all.
