Retired U.S. Army brig. Gen. Mark Kimmitt commended President donald Trump’s recent strikes against Iranian nuclear sites, emphasizing the element of surprise. Speaking to CNN’s Anderson Cooper,Kimmitt expressed his admiration for what he described as Trump’s use of “deception and trickery.”
Kimmitt stated he initially didn’t understand the purpose of a “two-week pause” before the strikes.He likened the situation to a “Trump deal,” where negotiations become irrelevant after the subject of the deal is destroyed. He believes the approach was prosperous and prevented potential American casualties.
President Trump announced the U.S. military had targeted three Iranian nuclear enrichment facilities: Fordow,Natanz,and isfahan. He declared these facilities were “totally obliterated.”
