Former President Donald Trump asserted Monday that Israel and Iran have agreed to a “complete and total
ceasefire,” following a period of heightened tensions and military actions. The announcement,made on Truth
Social,claims the ceasefire will commence around midnight Eastern Time as both nations conclude their “final
missions.”
Vice President JD Vance, in an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, echoed a sentiment of de-escalation,
stating that Iran “doesn’t want to keep on fighting.” Vance credited Trump’s earlier actions with having
“obliterated the Iranian nuclear program” without American casualties.

The alleged agreement follows a series of escalating events, including Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear
facilities on June 13, which resulted in the deaths of several top Iranian military leaders and nuclear
scientists. Iran responded with retaliatory strikes, leading to U.S. military action against three nuclear
