Trump-Musk Feud: Is It Just a ’Friends’ Break?
The ongoing feud between President Trump and Elon Musk has drawn an unexpected comparison. Former Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, during a recent TV appearance, likened thier relationship to that of Ross and Rachel from the sitcom “Friends.”
McDaniel expressed hope that the two could reconcile. Her comments came after Musk intensified his criticism of Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” moving through Congress. Musk also supported calls for Trump’s impeachment and accused him of being linked to the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Trump responded by threatening to terminate federal contracts held by musk’s companies. Earlier, he voiced his surprise and disappointment with Musk’s stance on the spending bill.
McDaniel, speaking on newsnation’s “Cuomo,” suggested that Trump is known to forgive those who criticize him. She highlighted the past collaboration between Trump and Musk, noting the personal and business challenges they’ve faced for their political involvement. She hopes they can eventually reach a truce, emphasizing Elon Musk’s role in the election.
“I’m hoping it’s like a Ross and Rachel thing. That it’s just a break and they come back together. you know, we all panicked when they broke up on ‘Friends,’” McDaniel said.
When asked if she believed both men were “worth more or less than before the election,” McDaniel responded, “I think they’re both worth more.”
What’s next
