Donald Trump addressed the possibility of a presidential pardon for Sean ”Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing federal charges that include sex trafficking allegations. The former presidentS remarks came Friday in response to a question about the embattled music mogul.
Trump’s history with Combs, also known as Diddy, goes back decades. The two have been photographed together at various events over the years. Trump was reportedly the first major celebrity to arrive at Combs’ birthday party in 1998, with their mutual respect even spawning a VIBE magazine article.

Back in 1999, after Combs was charged with assault, Trump, then a real estate developer, described Combs as “a visionary and a great talent,” according to the New York Daily News.

“It’s not a popularity contest, so I don’t know,” he said.“I would certainly look at the facts.If I think somebody was mistreated, whether they like me or don’t like me, it wouldn’t have any impact on me.”
