President Donald Trump is scheduled to deliver his 2026 State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday, February 24, at 9 p.m. ET. Major news networks will provide live coverage of the address, offering viewers multiple options for watching the event unfold.
Fox News will begin its coverage at 8:50 p.m. ET, continuing through the conclusion of the speech around 11 p.m. Viewers can follow the coverage on Fox News Channel, FoxNews.com, the Fox News App, Fox Nation, and the Fox One app. The network will also feature preview coverage throughout the afternoon, beginning with Martha MacCallum on “The Story” at 3 p.m. ET. Will Cain will then offer his perspective on the issues at hand on “The Will Cain Show” at 4 p.m., followed by “The Five” at 5 p.m. Bret Baier and Laura Ingraham will also contribute to the network’s preview coverage leading up to the address.
The State of the Union will also be broadcast live on ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS. Many networks will offer livestream options on their websites and YouTube pages, as well as on the White House’s official YouTube channel.
This year’s address comes as the Trump administration continues to implement policies impacting the nation. According to reports, the administration is focused on economic efforts and policies aimed at increasing affordability, with a “big, beautiful bill” set to take effect ahead of midterm elections. The speech also follows a recent event where President Trump rallied House Republicans at the Kennedy Center days after the capture of Maduro.
The President’s address is particularly noteworthy as it marks his first State of the Union address of his second term, having delivered an “Address Before a Joint Session of Congress” in March 2025. The event is taking place against a backdrop of national unrest, with the administration sending ICE agents into major American cities to arrest individuals unlawfully present in the country, and the National Guard remaining deployed in Washington, D.C., at the President’s direction.
NewsNation will also broadcast the address, with coverage beginning at 6 p.m. ET, featuring special editions of “The Hill,” “Elizabeth Vargas Reports,” and “Cuomo.” The address can be viewed on NewsNation on television, online at newsnationnow.com, or through the NewsNation apps. It’s also available to stream on YouTubeTV, Hulu, FuboTV, Vidgo, Sling, and DirecTV Stream.
The State of the Union address is a constitutionally mandated update from the President to Congress regarding the state of the nation and recommendations for future measures. While a formal State of the Union address isn’t strictly required, the President is obligated to provide this information to Congress from time to time.
