: Trump Texts Macron, Rutte: US President Shares Private Messages

Paris – French President Emmanuel​ Macron privately proposed a G7 dinner in ⁢paris to⁤ Donald Trump, including Russia, according to text messages revealed Monday.

In a message to the U.S. president, Macron⁤ wrote he coudl ⁤set up a G7 meeting in Paris following the Davos summit on Thursday. He suggested inviting Ukraine, Denmark, Syria, and Russia on the ⁤sidelines, and proposed a ​dinner before TrumpS ​departure.

Prior to this, Macron,​ currently recovering from ⁤an eye injury, messaged‍ Trump about their shared understanding and “the great ‌things we can do” regarding Iran. He also questioned,”I‍ don’t understand what you ⁤are doing with Greenland.” The Élysée Palace confirmed⁢ the authenticity‍ of the messages to the German Press Agency (DPA).
