The venue was surrounded by a critically important presence of police and military personnel, who were observed conducting searches of the grounds. Road closures were implemented, restricting access for both local residents and the media. with no official talks scheduled for Saturday, the day appeared to be dedicated to Mr. Trump’s golfing pursuits.

Beyond his stay in South Ayrshire, Mr.Trump’s visit includes a trip to Aberdeenshire, where he is expected to inaugurate a second golf course at his resort in Balmedie.

In Aberdeen, Scottish Green MSP Maggie Chapman addressed a crowd, stating, “We stand in solidarity not only against Trump but against everything he and his politics stand for.” She criticized the US president’s stance on climate change and his approach to public services, asserting, “He believes that climate change isn’t real, he believes that cutting services for those in the world with the least is the right thing to do. We say no to all of those things, not in our name, never in our name.” Chapman further emphasized the sentiment of the protesters, telling the PA news agency, “He is not welcome in Scotland, he is certainly not welcome in Aberdeenshire.” She also highlighted unfulfilled promises regarding job creation and housing progress associated with his Aberdeenshire golf course.
“Carnival of Resistance” in Edinburgh
Anita bhadani,an organizer of the Stop Trump Coalition protest outside the US Consulate General’s office in Edinburgh,described the weekend’s events as a “carnival of resistance.” She echoed sentiments about unfulfilled promises, noting that Mr. Trump’s “huge promises” of creating thousands of jobs through development around his Scottish golf courses had not materialized.
During the Edinburgh demonstration, various speakers addressed the crowd, condemning Mr. Trump. One speaker reportedly chanted “death to the IDF,” in an apparent reference to the Israeli Defense Forces.
