Trump’s Life on the Line: Secret Service Thwarts Shocking Assassination Plot, Captures Prime Suspect
US Secret Service Foils Suspected Assassination Plot Against Trump
The FBI announced on September 15 that the US Secret Service thwarted a suspected assassination attempt against former President and Republican presidential candidate Trump in West Palm Beach, Florida.
According to the US Secret Service, the incident occurred near the Trump National Golf Club at 13:30 local time, when Trump was playing golf. Secret Service agents spotted a suspect pointing a gun at Trump from the stadium fence and immediately opened fire to stop him. The suspect then drove off and was later arrested in nearby Martin County. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
Rick Bradshaw, the police chief of Palm Beach County, Florida, revealed that the suspect was hiding in the bushes about 400 meters away from Trump. The suspect was apprehended in Martin County based on tips from witnesses.
The FBI is currently investigating the suspected assassination attempt. The Trump campaign confirmed that Trump was in safe condition, and Trump himself stated, “I’m safe and well!”
President Biden and Vice President Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, have been briefed on the event. Harris took to social media to condemn the incident, stating that “violence has no place in America.”
This incident is not the first time Trump has faced a potential threat. On July 13, Trump suffered an “assassination attempt” at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, resulting in injuries to Trump and others.
