Trump’s relationship with the Military

As Commander-in-Chief, Trump has overseen‌ significant changes in the military command structure.Throughout his time ‌in office, he has made contradictory statements about the⁣ armed forces, praising their strength while also⁢ claiming they were weakened and in need of rebuilding. During his previous term (2017-2021), he‌ reportedly clashed with generals ⁤and faced ⁤criticism⁤ for allegedly calling soldiers who died in combat “losers,” accusations he has denied.

Gen. Mark Cany, former chief of staff of the American armed forces, reportedly described Trump as being ⁣”fascist to the end of the nails” during Trump’s first visit to the White ‌House.
