Donald Trump’s Campaign Rally Interrupted by Medical Emergency
A medical emergency occurred during a campaign rally for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in Wisconsin, prompting the former US president to stop his speech and call for paramedics.
The incident happened when Trump was giving a speech to supporters in the town of Mosinee. Shouts could be heard on video recordings, and Trump looked into the audience before saying, “Paramedics, please. Doctor. Thank you.”
Trump broke off his speech and thanked the emergency services for the “great service” - to applause from the audience. He added that some of his supporters had been there for three days and that it was a miracle that there had been no further medical emergencies.
The intervention lasted about six minutes, during which Trump repeatedly told the rescue units, “Take your time, we have time.” the paramedics gave the green light, and Trump continued his speech. The cause of the medical emergency is not yet known.
This is not the first time Trump has interrupted his speech to ask for medical attention. On August 21, at a rally in Asheboro, North Carolina, Trump asked the crowd for “a doctor, please” after an attendee appeared to need medical attention.
