Wild Elephant Wreaks Havoc in Kozhikode’s Perampra Area
A wild elephant, identified as Mozhayana, caused chaos in Kozhikode’s Perampra area, prompting a team from the forest department to intervene and safely relocate the animal to the forest.
The elephant was first spotted by locals in the morning, roaming in the Perampra and Pallithazham areas. Initially, the elephant’s movement was not alarming, but by 11 am, it began to descend into the settlement, causing concern among residents.
As the elephant began to target houses and walk on paths frequented by people, the Forest Department officials were called to the scene. The situation was brought under control, and the elephant was safely relocated to the forest.
