Kai Rachwalski and Adrian Moise both suffered narrow losses in their respective matches. Rachwalski dropped a 1-5 decision, while Moise fell 2-4.
The remainder of the Ehningen squad lost their matches early via pinfall or technical superiority. TSV secured vital wins earlier in the season against AV Hardt and AC Röhlingen, alongside a victory against direct table neighbor Aichhalden in the opening fixture.
Ehningen missed the presence of Timo Stiffel, who sustained an injury during the match against Ebersbach. Club officials used Mose Wolkober, Maximilian Jäger, and Henri Schimmer in the last three fixtures to fill the gap.
Fabian Bendl Evaluates the Standings and Outlook
Fabian Bendl assessed the team’s standing at the midpoint of the season.
All in all, we’re in a solid mid-table position, which was our expectation before the season. We suffered some frustrating defeats in recent matches; otherwise, we could have finished a bit higher in the standings. We really missed Timo. He’s become a true pillar of our team over the last few years. We wish him a speedy recovery! I’m optimistic that we won’t get dragged into the relegation battle in the second half of the season and that we can maintain our current position.
