Turkana Food Inc. has announced a recall of 352 cases of Floria Dried Apricots due to undeclared sulfites. The recall, initiated after routine sampling by the New york State Department of Agriculture and Markets, affects 200-gram paper packages of the dried fruit.
Sulfites, commonly used as a food preservative, can cause allergic reactions in some individuals. The FDA recall notice stated the products lacked proper labeling.
The recalled dried apricots have a November 2026 expiration date, lot number “440090478-15-333,” and UPC label “2539560010.” Consumers who purchased the affected product should not consume it and are advised to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
