Turkey Coronavirus Outbreak: Stay Home for 48 Hours
Authorities in England have issued a warning due too a rapidly spreading virus. According to data from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), cases of norovirus have increased by approximately 47 percent in the first two weeks of 2026. Individuals exhibiting symptoms are urged to stay home and self-isolate to prevent the spread of the virus.
UKHSA has once again emphasized the importance of hygiene measures following the increase in cases. It was noted that norovirus cases are predominantly observed in individuals aged 65 and over, and while overall case levels remain within seasonal norms, there has been an increase in the number of outbreaks in hospitals. The agencyS latest surveillance data also revealed a decrease in cases of flu, COVID-19, and RSV in the first week of the year.
WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS?
According to data obtained from the UK-based Daily Express, Norovirus was first seen in US and Canadian officials stationed in Havana, Cuba in 2016, and is therefore known by that name.
