British Tourist Claims Assault During Turkey Holiday

Keeran Rolls, a father of two from Nottingham, says he was twice attacked while on a family holiday in Alanya, Turkey. Rolls claims the incidents, which he believes were motivated by his jewelry, occurred at the Senza Inn Resort and Spa.
Rolls said the first assault happened as he left the restroom. “As I’m leaving [the toilets] a man’s following me and seems quite aggressive,” Rolls stated. “I got hit as I was leaving and my brow split straight away.” He added that he defended himself after the initial blow.
The second incident reportedly took place later that evening. According to Rolls, “We’d played bingo later in the evening, I got up and a bloke put his hand out. I went to shake it and he hit me in the side of the face.”
Lucy, Rolls’ partner, said that hotel staff allegedly told her the attackers were known for aggressive behavior but refused to contact police.”It was an absolute nightmare,” she said, adding, “I have never experienced something like that where we were scared for our lives.”
Loveholidays, the travel company that booked the trip, stated they investigated the complaint and believe the hotel took appropriate action. As a “gesture of goodwill,” the company refunded the couple’s accommodation costs. A Loveholidays spokesperson said they were sorry to hear about the experience. They added that they were not made aware of the complaint during the holiday, preventing them from offering immediate support.
Rolls said the incident has traumatized his family. “It’s knocked me back. The kids are traumatised by it,” he stated, adding that he will not return to Turkey.

Rolls is considering further action following the alleged assault, while Loveholidays says it takes customer safety seriously and has investigated the matter.
