Baltimore’s experimental hardcore band Turnstile offered fans a sneak peek of their highly anticipated fourth album, Never Enough, with a dynamic performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The band played two new tracks, “I Care” and “Dull,” showcasing their evolving sound and energetic stage presence.
For “I Care,” Turnstile embraced a retro vibe, complete with striped wallpaper and over-the-ear headphones, delivering a pop-rock sound reminiscent of the 1980s. In contrast, “Dull” featured glitchy hardcore elements, enhanced by intense red lighting as the band members jumped around the stage.
Never Enough, the follow-up to their successful 2021 album Glow On, is set to release Friday via Roadrunner. This album marks a new chapter for Turnstile, as it is their first LP with guitarist Meg Mills, following the departure of Brady Ebert.The band has also earned grammy nominations since their last release, further solidifying their place in the music scene.
The band’s previously released singles,including “Never Enough,” “Birds,” “Seein’ Stars,” and “Look Out for Me,” are part of a companion film,Turnstile: Never Enough. the 50-minute film,directed by singer brendan Yates and guitarist pat McCrory,features all 14 songs from the album and will be screened in select theaters.
