LOS ANGELES (AP) — Buckle up, storm chasers! “Twisters,” the new action-packed thriller from the producers of the “Jurassic Park,” “Bourne,” and “indiana Jones” sagas, is set to make its television debut on Sky Cinema Uno on Monday, July 7, at 9:15 p.m. The film will also be available for streaming on NOW and on demand.
Directed by lee Isaac Chung, “Twisters” stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell as two opposing forces who must join together to predict and possibly tame the immense power of tornadoes.
edgar-Jones portrays Kate Cooper, a former hurricane hunter haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado during her college years. Now studying storm patterns from the safety of her New York City office, Kate is coaxed back into the field by her freind Javi to test an innovative tracking system.
Her path collides with Tyler Owens (Powell), a charismatic and reckless social media superstar who thrives on posting his storm-chasing adventures with his crew. The more risky the storm, the better the content!
As the stormy season intensifies, terrifying phenomena unlike anything seen before emerge. kate, Tyler, and their respective teams find themselves on a collision course with multiple storm systems converging on central Oklahoma, putting their survival to the ultimate test.
