Deli Serdang, Indonesia – Tragedy struck a quiet neighborhood in Deli Serdang, Indonesia, as two young children succumbed to their injuries after a brutal stabbing attack. The victims, identified as Owen (4) and Daren (1.5), were among three children attacked by their neighbor, 41-year-old Rudi Sihaloho, on Monday, December 9th.
The horrific incident occurred in Gang Dahlia VII, while many residents were attending a funeral in a nearby area.
“The children were home alone as their father was taking their mother to work at Rumah Sakit Murni Teguh,” said Butet, a local resident.
According to Butet, Sihaloho first attacked Daren inside the family home before stabbing Nathan (7) and Owen outside. The children were rushed to Rumah Sakit Murni Teguh, but tragically, Daren passed away that night, followed by Owen the next morning.
“The injuries were severe,” Butet recounted, visibly shaken. “One child had their intestines protruding, another had a lung exposed. It was a horrifying scene.”
Nathan remains hospitalized in critical condition.
The case has been transferred to the Unit Pelindungan Perempuan dan Anak (PPA) of the Medan Police Department due to the involvement of minors.
Sihaloho has been apprehended and reportedly shows no remorse for his actions.
