JAKARTA, Indonesia⁤ – Comments by two Indonesian ministers referring to former President Joko Widodo, also known as Jokowi, ⁢as their “boss”‌ have drawn criticism from a political analyst. Adi ⁤Prayitno said Friday the remarks are “not beautiful,” given that prabowo Subianto is the current president.

“In the ⁤eyes of the public, it is judged as ⁤off-kilter,” Prayitno said. ⁢”It can even be considered less than ideal ⁣because Prabowo Subianto, not anyone else, is the president at this time.”

The ministers in question are Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono and Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin.

Gratitude or Undermining?

Prayitno suggested ⁣Trenggono and ‌Sadikin might have intended to express gratitude ‍to Jokowi, who⁤ preceded Prabowo⁢ as president.

Both ministers initially served under Jokowi and ‌continued in their roles after Prabowo assumed the presidency.

Prayitno said that ⁢using the term “boss” could be seen as a way of showing appreciation, ⁤even though Jokowi is no longer the head of state.

“Actually, the two ⁢ministers said ‍that Mr. Jokowi⁤ was his ‌boss as an expression of a form of gratitude, because both‌ of them were in the era of Pak⁤ Jokowi to get a strategic position,” Prayitno said.

Concerns‍ of “twin suns”

However,Prayitno,a lecturer, expressed‍ concern that the ministers’ statements could fuel speculation about a “twin sun” dynamic, suggesting⁣ a division of power or influence.

“Because to this day⁤ the public still does not stop speculating about the existence of twin ⁢suns, it is feared by the statement of the boss besides Pak Prabowo even more thickening that⁢ actually the ministers in‌ the cabinet currently have⁣ other bosses besides Pak Prabowo,” Prayitno said.

He urged ministers serving⁣ under Prabowo to exercise caution in their public statements.

“It should be‍ careful, public⁣ officials are ofen judged ⁢by the public,” Prayitno said.

the Visit

Trenggono and Sadikin reportedly visited Jokowi at his residence in Solo City, Central Java, earlier Friday.

Analyst: ministers’ Remarks Calling Jokowi ‘Boss’ – What Does⁢ it Mean?

Why is there a controversy surrounding Indonesian ministers calling Joko Widodo “Boss”?

The controversy stems from comments made by ‍two Indonesian ministers, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono (Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries) and Budi Gunadi Sadikin (Minister of Health), who referred to the former President Joko Widodo, affectionately known as Jokowi, as their “boss.” This has drawn criticism⁤ as Prabowo Subianto is the current president.

what is the core critique ⁢of the ministers’ remarks?

Political analyst Adi Prayitno stated that ⁢the ministers’ remarks are considered “off-kilter” and “less than ideal” as they seem to be⁤ showing a preference for Jokowi rather of the current⁢ President Prabowo Subianto. The implication⁤ is that⁢ it’s inappropriate for them to refer to someone other than Prabowo as their boss while serving in his cabinet.

who are the ministers involved in this situation and their current roles?

The ministers ⁣in question are:

  • sakti Wahyu Trenggono: Minister ⁤of Maritime Affairs and⁣ Fisheries

Could this be⁣ interpreted ‍as a sign‌ of ⁣appreciation?

Yes, Prayitno ⁤indicates that using the term “boss” *could* be a way of showing appreciation for‍ Jokowi, especially because the ministers ‌held strategic positions during ⁣his tenure.Their statements could reflect ‌a sense of loyalty or gratitude⁣ for the opportunities they received during‍ jokowi’s presidency.

What is the concern about a “twin sun” dynamic?

The analyst,⁣ adi ‍Prayitno, is concerned that the ministers’ statements⁢ could fuel⁣ speculation about a ⁢”twin sun” dynamic. This refers to the idea of ⁤a divided power structure in Indonesian government, with potential rivalries or competing influences between Jokowi and Prabowo. Such situations, where multiple leaders command loyalty, can lead to instability.

What are the potential implications for ministers ⁤serving under Prabowo?

Prayitno urges ministers under Prabowo to be cautious in‍ their public statements. he emphasizes that public officials ⁣are frequently enough judged⁤ by the public, and remarks that suggest divided ⁤loyalties could undermine the authority of the current governance.

Where⁢ did ⁢Trenggono and Sadikin visit Jokowi?

The ministers reportedly visited Jokowi at his residence in Solo⁤ City, Central⁢ Java, earlier in⁢ this week.
