Severe Injuries Reported After Scooter Strikes Tree in Embrach
Emergency responders transported both the 38-year-old driver and his passenger of the same age to hospitals following the single-vehicle accident.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:25 p.m. as the scooter traveled toward Winkel. In a right-hand curve, the driver lost control of the vehicle, crossed over the center of the roadway and the left edge of the road, and struck a tree in an adjacent wooded area.
Immediate Medical Aid and Emergency Airlift
First responders at the scene alerted emergency services following the collision. The initial police patrol on site provided medical first aid until an emergency physician and professional rescue crews arrived, as detailed in official reports.
The passenger sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital via a ground ambulance. Meanwhile, a rescue helicopter operated by Alpine Air Ambulance airlifted the 38-year-old driver to a medical facility for treatment of severe injuries.
