Two Teenagers Arrested for Convenience Store Robberies in San Antonio
San Antonio police arrested two teenagers linked to three convenience store robberies on the east side. The suspects are Erly Yosueth Ramirez-Hernandez, 18, and Alex Avila, 17. They face charges of aggravated robbery.
The robberies occurred between October 28 and November 18. Police believed the same individuals committed all three incidents due to similarities in their body type, clothing, and the weapons used.
The robberies took place at:
- Vine Food Mart on October 28
- Clark Grocery Store on November 4
- Juliana’s Grocery Store on November 18
On November 18, four men entered Juliana’s Grocery Store before 7 p.m. Ramirez-Hernandez and Avila entered with handguns. Avila went behind the counter and took cash, while a female employee surrendered her purse and car keys due to safety concerns. The suspects fled in the woman’s vehicle.
Two days later, police spotted the stolen vehicle in a parking lot. When officers approached, both teenagers attempted to escape on foot but were caught and questioned. During the interview, Avila identified himself in a surveillance photo and confessed to the robbery.
As of now, police have not arrested any other suspects involved in the robberies.
