LAS AMERICAS AIRPORT, Dominican Republic – Two young Dominican volleyball players, Ryni ⁣Merab ⁤Mondesí Arias and Cristal Mercedes Núñez, have embarked on a journey to Japan to pursue academic and athletic ⁢scholarships.⁤ The scholarships are part of a National Women’s⁣ Volleyball Selection project focused on promoting education⁤ alongside sports growth.

The athletes officially signed their scholarship agreements in ⁣October of the previous year, during a visit from‍ Japanese school coaches ‌to the Dominican Republic.

Milagros Cabral, ⁣executive director of the⁤ volleyball selection project, accompanied the athletes and ⁢their mothers to the ⁢airport. cabral emphasized the significance of education in ⁢the holistic development of individuals. She noted that Alondra⁢ Tapia, a previous scholarship recipient, is ‍now ​playing professionally in russia.

“These young women are embarking ⁢on a life-changing prospect, ⁣and we are confident they will make the most of it,” Cabral said. She also acknowledged Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz’s commitment to ensuring players prioritize their education and prepare for future⁣ opportunities.
