Thai Men’s National Football Team Prepares for LP BANK CUP 2024
On September 8, 2024, at 5:00 pm, the Thai men’s national football team, also known as the “War Elephants,” conducted a practice session on the field next to Dinh Stadium. This training session is part of their preparation for the LP BANK CUP 2024 football competition, where they will face the Vietnamese national team, ranked 115th in the world.
The team’s focus during this session was on maintaining their physical condition and adapting to the field and ball conditions. This is crucial, especially after their previous match against Russia was cancelled due to Typhoon Yagi.
Kornwit Thasa on the Upcoming Match
Kornwit Thasa, the Thai national team striker, expressed his excitement and happiness about becoming a father. However, he emphasized that he cannot return home to see his newborn until he completes his mission with the team. Thasa stated, ”I want to help the team win this game, and when my child grows up, I will tell him that the day he was born, I was serving on the Thai national team.”
Regarding the Vietnamese team, Thasa acknowledged their strength, saying, “Vietnam is already a strong team in ASEAN, we cannot be careless. They are playing at home, and we should focus on ourselves to do our best and give 100%.”
Adapting to the Training Ground
Thasa also addressed the condition of the training ground, stating that although it may not be in the best condition, he has played on this field before during his time with the Thai national youth team. He emphasized the importance of adapting quickly to the field conditions to avoid mistakes during the competition.
