UAE Private Sector to Observe ‌Hijri New Year ⁤Holiday

Private sector companies in the United Arab Emirates will ⁣observe a paid holiday on Friday, June 27, according ‍to ‌an announcement ​from the⁣ Ministry of Human Resources and ​Emiratisation. The holiday marks⁤ the islamic New Year,1447 AH.

The announcement means many in the private sector⁤ will enjoy a three-day weekend, stretching from June 27-29. This follows ⁣a similar declaration by the Federal Authority ​for Government Human ⁣Resources (FAHR), which designated the ⁢same date as a holiday ‌for public ‌sector employees.

FAHR distributed a circular to all ministries and federal entities ​confirming the Hijri New Year holiday will be observed on June ⁤27.
