The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has implemented a waiver on visa overstay fines for Iranian citizens currently within the contry. This measure,impacting both residents and visitors regardless of visa type,aims to ease burdens caused by recent regional events.
The Federal Authority for Identity,Citizenship,Customs and Port Security (ICP) announced the visa fine exemption. The ICP said the decision responds to ”extraordinary circumstances” that have prevented some Iranians from returning home due to airspace closures and flight suspensions.
The UAE emphasized it’s commitment to humanitarian principles and support for all residents and visitors. Those eligible for this visa fine exemption can register through the ICP Smart Services Platform or at any customer happiness center in the UAE.
