The United Arab Emirates is expected to announce its revised petrol prices for July 2025 in the coming days.Residents closely monitor these monthly adjustments to manage their fuel budgets.
For the past three months, petrol prices have seen little change, following a period where costs at the pump where frozen for two months. Despite this recent stability, current fuel prices are notably lower than they were a year ago. All fuel categories are more affordable now, even with price fluctuations over the last year.
A year ago, in June 2024, E-Plus 91 cost AED2.95 per liter, while diesel was priced at AED2.88. Currently, E-Plus 91 is priced at AED2.39 per liter, making it cheaper than last year.Similarly, Special 95 and Super 98 have decreased from AED3.02 to AED2.47 per liter and from AED3.14 to AED2.58 per liter, respectively.
Since June 1, 2025, the petrol prices in the UAE have been:
- E-Plus 91: AED2.39 per liter (unchanged from May)
- Special 95: AED2.47 per liter (unchanged from May)
- Super 98: AED2.58 per liter (unchanged from May)
- Diesel: AED2.45 per liter (down from AED2.52 in May)
In 2020,during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fuel Price Committee implemented a freeze on UAE fuel prices, preventing any changes. However, as global oil prices began to increase in March 2021, these controls were lifted, allowing market forces to once again dictate petrol prices.
Fluctuations in petrol prices are also influenced by shifts in crude oil prices worldwide.
