Dubai’s Crown Prince Orders Creation of Central Database
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, has ordered the establishment of a unified population registry in the emirate. This central and comprehensive database of the emirate’s residents will be launched on the Dubai Data and Statistics Corporation digital platform, serving as the official and authoritative system for the population of the Emirate of Dubai.
The unified population registry will play a crucial role in informing government policies, plans, and strategic issues, ensuring that decisions are based on accurate and reliable data.
The Data and Statistics Department will be responsible for collecting population data from various departments, ensuring a comprehensive and up-to-date database.
To ensure the security and privacy of the information, the Dubai Data and Statistics Corporation will collaborate with the Dubai Security Centre, implementing robust measures to protect sensitive data.
