Innovative Learning Tools and Collaborative Initiatives
The Faculty of Medicine at Tampico recently showcased the ‘oplik’ platform, a new application designed to improve the learning experience for medical students. This presentation coincided with discussions regarding the integration of ultrasound technology into primary healthcare settings, aiming to bolster both university training and direct patient care.
The initiative seeks to strengthen practical skills advancement for students by exposing them to advanced diagnostic tools earlier in their education. The proposed primary healthcare clinic will serve as a key site for this enhanced training.

A series of meetings were held with members of the Young Program in Science, and also faculty affiliated with academic bodies, the national System of Researchers (SNII), and Prodep. These discussions focused on collaborative research opportunities and the alignment of academic programs with national research priorities.
