Now, many game franchises take years to release new entries. Grand Theft Auto VI has been in the works for over ten years. The Elder Scrolls VI continues to dodge and I may be graying my hair before Fallout 5 releases. However, Assassin’s Creed won’t go that route and will instead be throwing content at us like wildfire.
At least that’s according to Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson. Speaking on the Xbox Two +1 podcast, Henderson revealed that Ubisoft wants to release many Assassin’s Creed games. We already know there’s a lot of work going on, but some plans go even beyond what we know.
“They’ve got Assassin’s Creed Shadows, next year they’ll have Assassin’s Creed: Invictus, Assassin’s Creed: Hexagon, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag remastered, and they plan to do one every six months or so for the next ten years. The new Assassin’s Creed, I believe,” Henderson said.

We haven’t seen the release of an Assassin’s Creed game this year, as Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been delayed until 2025. However, delays aside, Ubisoft has plans for the above, with smaller and smaller games existing within of the Assassin’s Creed brand, meaning we could get one of each to meet the demand for historical novels in any given year.
