UC San Diego Foundation Welcomes New Trustees for 2024-25: Enhancing Philanthropy and Innovation
As the fall quarter ends at the University of California San Diego, new leaders join the UC San Diego Foundation Board of Trustees. This board supports the university’s mission and fundraising efforts. Chancellor Pradeep K. Khosla expressed gratitude to the board for their commitment to philanthropy and innovation.
The Foundation manages private gifts to the university, overseeing funds for both endowments and current use. With the new members, the board has 49 trustees. They focus on advancing research, teaching, and public service.
Leo Spiegel, an alumnus from 1983, is the chair of the board this year. Sandra Timmons, an alumna from 1981, is the chair-elect. The vice-chairs are Pelin Thorogood and Phyllis Epstein.
